Plate Heat Exchangers

Numerous Production processes could not even exist without the targeted removal of Heat or Cold. More emphasis is being given by Adhiam on this thermal area considering the technical and economical optimization. Turbulence flow of fluid and effective heat transfer in the plate heat exchanger and 90% of liquid application can be applied in Plate heat exchanger.

Plate heat exchanger consists of corrugated plates fixed with gasket and these are mounted between fixed frame and movable frame , Top and Bottom carrying bar are used for hanging the plates in between frames and the ties rods are used for tightening to the required plate pack. Fluids enter through the connections in the frame and are distributed in between plates. The fluids flow thorough alternate passages between plates by means of gasket arrangement.

Plate heat exchanger consists of corrugated free flow plates fixed with gasket and these are mounted between fixed frame and movable frame, Top and Bottom carrying bar are used for hanging the plates in between frames and the ties rods are used for tightening to the required plate pack.

 

Here, the pair of plates are welded and the other side is of gasket channel—means the plate pack consists of welded channels which alternate the traditional gasketed channels. Ring Gasket is placed in the gasket side channel for between Laser welded plates. The ring gasket is of special clip type and can be made suitable for Aggressive media of the welded channel.

The flow principle is same as conventional gasketted type plate heat exchanger . The difference is that every second channel is sealed with the laser weld instead of gasket.

There are different BPHE product categories depending on material combinations and design pressures. The standard plate materials are AISI 316 stainless steel, vacuum-brazed with a pure copper filler or a nickel-based filler. For demanding applications, the plates can be made of SMO 254, a stainless steel with a higher content of molybdenum.

The other special innovation in BHE is the one which is completely Stainless steel brazed/fusion welded plated heat exchanger where there is no brazing material.

The Brazed heat exchanger is  constructed as a package of corrugated channel plates between front and rear cover-plate packages. The cover-plate packages consist of sealing plates, blind rings and cover plates. Connections are mounted on the cover plates and can be customized to meet specific market and application requirements. During the vacuum-brazing process, a brazed joint is formed at every contact point between the base and the filler material. This design creates a heat exchanger that consists of two separate channels or circuits.
