Recovery from the Compressor

In a water cooled , oil free air compressor, the hot water will be at 90 degree temperature. This heat can be recovered and be utilized for other applications in the plant. Almost 90% energy can be recovered. Plate heat exchangers can be effectively used here.

As far as the heat recovery is concerned, the heat exchanger is the only way for recovering the heat. Depends on the applications, suitable type of heat exchangers can be designed for recovering the heat energy.
